Model characteristics
The SID model is a double knockout (Prkdc & Il2rg) mouse with complete immunodeficient phenotype. The model was created by genome scissors (CRISPR/ Cpf1 & Cas9) in Sep 13th, 2016. This mouse has a deficiency in T, B, and NK cells and shows reduced leakiness compared to SCID mice.

Advantages
Immunodeficient phenotype enhances tumor cell acceptance and mostly can be used in PDX models and humanized mice. SID mice are available with low cost and fast delivery due to the domestic breeding with a certified health monitoring report.
